Actress MAJANDRA DELFINO locks lips with Josh Duhamel and brings a sharp tongue to Katherine Heigl in the upcoming feature “LIFE AS WE KNOW IT.” Directed by Greg Berlanti, the romantic comedy is scheduled to release in theaters on October 8, 2010 by Warner Brothers Pictures.

“Life As We Know It” tells the story of two acquaintances (Heigl and Duhamel) who are forced to raise their mutual friends’ baby when they are killed in a sudden car accident. Delfino plays Jenna, the bad-girl tart who shows up to turn up the heat and stir the pot, making the already fragile situation even more delicate.

Delfino was thrilled to be reunited with fellow “Roswell” co-star Katherine Heigl, especially at the chance to work on a comedy together. Delfino explains, “I had to be really mean to Katherine in several scenes, which kept making us burst out laughing after we’d hear cut. Seriously, between my characters snarky comments and the barely-there Daisy Dukes they had me dressed in, the whole experience was just hysterical.”

The daughter of a Venezuelan father and Cuban mother, Delfino was born in Caracas, Venezuela, but grew up in Miami. At age 15, her parents gave her a six-month deadline to pursue an acting career in Hollywood and that’s all she needed. Within months, she landed the role of Kathleen Quinlan’s daughter in the film “Zeus & Roxanne” and booked a series regular role as the daughter of Tony Danza on NBC’s “The Tony Danza Show.”

Today, Delfino continues to be recognized all over the world for her starring role as Maria DeLuca on the WB’s sci-fi television cult-hit “Roswell.” She has also starred in numerous other television projects including: the WB comedy “Katie Joplin,” the ABC Family television movie “Celeste in the City”, Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz’s groundbreaking “Quarterlife,” and most recently the Lifetime original movie “Web of Lies” where Delfino plays an internet security designer who encounters treachery after the murder of her boyfriend. Majandra’s feature film credits include Steven Soderbergh’s Academy-Award nominated “Traffic,” opposite Linda Hamilton and Eugene Levy in the coming-of-age story “The Secret Lives of Girls”, and starring alongside writer/actor Sam Shepard in Wim Wenders drama “Don’t Come Knocking.”

Delfino discovered her passion for music at an early age and was signed to the labels Sony and Polygram prior to arriving in Hollywood. But, when her acting took off, her music was forced to take a backseat. It would take several years before she would go back to her musical roots; singing, writing, and recording her own music, as well as making her own beats. She created the independent label, Red Velvet Cake Records, and released her first album “The Sicks” in 2001, followed by “Tarte” in 2007. Delfino plays the piano, guitar, cello, and is currently learning to play the autoharp. She is now completing her third album which is scheduled to be released in early 2011.
