Majandra has always been a very vocal person, standing up for what is right and for the things she believes in. Here are charities, causes, organizations and movements she fully supports and is committed to.

‘I just think that it shouldn’t be something where the people that are supportive of it are only people that has been like touched by it. It needs to be kind of widely accepted and supported!’

"A little over five years ago, I started to sing Baby Beluga to my daughter, and four years ago to my son, and have done so every night of their lives. It used to make me cry thinking of them growing up, how fast it all goes and how important it was for us as parents to model love and healthy relationships and LOVE. In that short (but sometime very long feeling 😉 of time, I’ve done everything in my power to model that for them. Now when I sing the song, I fight tears for such different reasons. I understand the needlessness of living in fear, but when I let go of their hands at school drop offs, I am going to be very honest, I fight a dread of what sort of world they’re already entering. What danger lies beyond our walls. To keep them in a bubble, at home, safe from the world could be their biggest hindrance, but the “normalcy” of public violent outbursts these days scares me and makes me seriously consider it. It feels no place is off limits, no place less vulnerable... I am doing my part to show them what love really looks like. And how to really love one another and how to love one’s self. I know love for our fellow people could never lead to intentional tragedy. I truly believe that. Having a gun for protection is one thing, having guns designed for mass murder is another. Please help us stop this terror. We don’t have to live like this. I love this country so much and I don’t like all of these reasons to be afraid of it. Text ACT to 64433 - I’m not asking that we get rid of our guns completely. I am just asking that we regulate, so that normal can go back to feeling safe enough to function. Safe enough to feel okay when those little hands slip out of ours and run happily to their friends and neighbors and any and all other people willing to love and be loved. Let’s make it so our kids can swim so wild and swim so free. Please."

"Hope by the time my kids are adults they’ll laugh and think we’re lying when I tell them coming out was ever hard or complicated, and that families ever did anything but celebrate their kids identity and authentic declarations of who they really are."

"There is so much wrong. So many places. And I know I might seem like a shit asking for help for my birth country when my home country, America, and those so desperate to seek refuge in it, need your help more and more. But if you have generosity for both, please consider donating to the Venezuelan crisis in addition to helping the crisis at our borders. It all effects the other. The better conditions we support for countries besides our own, the less people need to flee the unlivable conditions they find themselves in. And to know the country I was born in, that I love so much, is in such peril, breaks my heart every day. But make no mistake, it’s always been a shit show there compared to here....It’s a shit show in so many countries, with America as a beacon of hope for safety and renewal. Two things every human deserves. How could we fault someone for entering these borders of promise at any cost? But despite Venezuela’s slow decline and any mistakes made, it has now reached a breaking point and needs your help. I hope I can count on you to love your fellow man and help however you can. We are all in this together. Different, yes, but equal. Each and every soul. Follow @worldvisionusa to find out how you can help."
